Wallace School hosts Veterans Day program PDF Print E-mail

The Wallace School had the biggest turnout of veterans at their Veterans Day Program. They had 15 veterans attend the program.
In honor of those deployed there were five empty chairs (Daniel Swanson, Mike West, Ben Vapenik, Scott Gardner and Ray Bringwatt) and four empty chairs for those enlisted (Ilene Jameson, Chase Fleming, Lisa Swanson, and Russ Fleming). The chairs each had either a picture or a name taped to them.
The foreign exchange student from Hong Kong “Miki” Tsz Hei Leung sang as a soloist with the choir during the program. Other soloists included Katherine McClintock, Jackson Porter, and Shane Anders.
The program also included a junior high quartet including Cheyenne Franzen, Collin Swedberg, Tanner Clough, and Josh May who sang with the Junior high choir.
The elementary students also provided music for the program.  There were two students who spoke during the program,
The “Voice of Democracy” speech winner, Laiken Brooks and Mark Jameson were master of ceremonies. As a school project each student wrote a letter to one of the local soldiers who is currently deployed.
