Wallace students chosen to participate in All-State Chorus PDF Print E-mail

Each year, over 2,000 of the best high school musicians in the state audition for the Nebraska All-State Band, Chorus, Jazz Band and Orchestra which are sponsored by the Nebraska Music Educators Association.
Selection as a member of one of these groups is one of the highest music honors attainable in Nebraska.
Among the 440 students that were selected to be a part of the 2011 All-State Chorus were Josh Harms and Landon Swedberg from Wallace.
The guest conductor for this year’s choir was Dr. Eph Ehly, a retired professor from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri Kansas City.
Dr. Ehly was originally from western Nebraska so he was delighted to be back in his home state to direct the 75th Anniversary All-State Concert which was held Nov. 18 at the Lied Center for the Performing Arts on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.
