Slate of nominees selected for three Midwest directorships PDF Print E-mail

Directors for three district seats will be elected during the 65th annual meeting of Midwest Electric Cooperative Corporation on Thursday, March 15 at Perkins County High School.

On Jan. 10, nine members from the nominating committee of Midwest Electric Cooperative Corporation were present to select director nominees for Districts 2, 4 and 7.
The slate of nominees will be presented during Midwest Electric’s 65th annual meeting set for Thursday, March 15.
The nominees and their respective districts include:
• District 2: Incumbent-Nathan Geisert of Ogallala and Mark Speck of Keystone.
• District 4: Dick Hasenauer-incumbent will be challenged by three nominees—Larry Coppersmith of Wallace, Vance McCoy and Brent Robertson, both of Elsie.
• District 7: Incumbent is Shawn Stutzman of Venango. Other nominees are Russ Gregg and Roxie Lampmann, both of Grant.
Directors elected at the March meeting will serve a term of three years.
Members of the nominating committee who were present to make the selections include: Jerry Steinke representing District 1, Gerald Kraus and Eldon Dyck for District 2, Lendon Thompson in District 4, David Jantzen in District 5, Dan Borowski in District 6, Ron Patrick in District 7, Brad Doell in District 8, and Greg Burrows for District 9.
Other members of the nominating committee besides those mentioned above representing the nine districts of Midwest include:
District 1—Ron Ivers and White Cutkoskey; District 2—Nathan Geisert and alternate Bill Finch; District 3—Greg Fleecs, Dwight Thompson, alternate Kenneth Ensz; District 4—Dick Hasenauer, Larry Coppersmith, alternate Troy Barner; District 5—Ron Hagan, Bryan Kroeker; District 6—Shawn Turner, alternate Mike Carlson; District 7—Shawn Stutzman, Dennis Dahlkoetter, alternate Don Gloy; District 8—Kent Kroeker, Steve Day; District 9—Rod Clough, alternate Jason Franklin.
The annual meeting will take place at Perkins County High School in Grant. Registration and meal is scheduled from 5:30-6:30 p.m., with the business meeting to follow at 6:30 p.m.
There will also be guest speakers for the evening to talk about their experience with Youth Energy Camp.
