Vacancies exist on NUSF advisory board PDF Print E-mail

Nebraskans have until Feb. 29 to apply for appointment to the Nebraska Universal Service Fund Advisory Board.
Five positions are currently vacant.  Two positions are open to represent telecom carriers.  An opening also exists for a member to represent each of the following categories:  schools, libraries, and the general public. Members of the nine-member advisory board may serve two consecutive three-year terms.
Board members serve without pay or reimbursement for expenses.  They work with the Public Service Commission and the staff of the Nebraska Telecommunications Infrastructure and Public Safety Department (NTIPS), which includes the Nebraska Universal Service Fund (NUSF).  The Board advises the Commission on the administration of the Universal Service Fund.
