Whitney Jae Smith, graduate of Wallace High School in 2012, was recently inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society on March 25.
The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa is to recognize and encourage scholarships among two-year college students.  Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.  
Whitney is a freshman at Mid-Plains Community College and also plays volleyball for the Lady Knights.
