Take your place in the kingdom of God

The more I study the Kingdom of God, the less it seems I know about it. Last week we learned the Kingdom of God is inside of us. John 3:3 states, “A man cannot see the kingdom of God unless he be born of God.” In other words, has Jesus living on the inside of him (his spirit).
So what is this Kingdom? It is God’s government, God’s system for taking care of us spirit, soul and body. The kingdom is God’s way of doing things. It is a relationship between the born again man and the Father obtained by the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross.
In Matthew 6:25-34, Jesus tells us first of all not to worry about anything. God will take care of everything; house, clothes, food. God knows what we need and He will take care of it. The birds of the air don’t gather grain in John Deere combines and haul it in semi-trucks, yet, God feeds them and we are much more important to God than the birds. The lilies of the field are prettier than anything you can buy, they dry up to nothing.
Don’t worry about stuff. God will take care of us. Verse 33 says, “Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you.”
To seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, you simply seek God and build a relationship based on love and trust. Remember, He loves you and He will do only good for you! Anything you would do for your own children, God will do for you. Whatever is needed is in the Kingdom. Build a relationship of trust in the Father and you can obtain the Kingdom!
Colossians 1:13 tells us when we become born again, we are translated out of the kingdom of darkness (Satan’s kingdom) and into the Kingdom of God’s Dear Son. 1 John 3:8 tells us the reason Jesus came was to destroy the works of the devil.
You might say if Jesus destroyed the works of the devil, why do we see his handiwork everywhere we go? Sickness, lack, poverty, pain and destruction are still here. The reason is because we still live in a fallen world, but Jesus gave us authority over everything Satan can throw at us.
Please look it up in your Bible. Pray and meditate what it says. Jesus didn’t just say these things to hear himself talk! He meant what He said. Luke 10:19, “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over ALL the power of the enemy: and NOTHING shall by any means hurt you.”
There is a man who goes to my church. One evening, not many years ago, there was a tornado one-half mile wide on the ground headed straight for his house. It had just destroyed the home south of him. He stood on his porch, pointed his finger at that tornado and declared, “You SHALL NOT steam my farm Satan! You get off my property right now in the Name of Jesus!” That tornado immediately turned and went around his farm. If you don’t believe me, drive out where the tornado was and look. His is the place that still has the old power line poles in front of it.
It is time the Body of Christ (that’s Christians) starts believing the Bible, stops blaming God for the things the devil does, and puts Satan under their feet where he belongs!
Jesus loves you and so do we!
