Rita Long, Perkins County clerk, completed a three-day workshop conducted in Kearney June 13-15 for Nebraska county clerks, election commissioners and registers of deeds.
The annual workshop, attended by approximately 100 county officials and employees, is part of continuing education and leadership development series sponsored by the Nebraska Association of County Officials.
The workshop updated county officials on recent changes in state laws and provided extensive training on the responsibilities of their respective offices.
