Area students named to Doane Dean’s List
Doane College has announced students named to the Dean’s List for Spring 2012. Among those named are Timothy Burge and Jordan Johnson of Grant. Students must achieve a minimum 3.7 grade point average on a 4.0 scale to qualify for this academic distinction.
Doane College is the first private liberal arts and sciences college in Nebraska. Doane has campuses in Crete, Lincoln and Grand Island. Doane also is consistently ranked among the top colleges and universities in the Midwest by Forbes.com, U.S.News & World Report and The Princeton.
Dieckmann receives medical degree from KCU
Traci Dieckmann was one of 256 medical students who received the doctor or osteopathic medicine (D.O.) degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in commencement ceremonies Saturday, May 19 in Kansas City, Mo.
Dr. Dieckmann is the daughter of Mike and Lori Perlinger of Elsie. She is a 2004 graduate of Wheatland High School in Madrid, and earned a B.S. in biology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln.
Dr. Dieckmann graduated with the Latin honor, Magna Cum Laude, and is a member of the national osteopathic scholastic honor societies Psi Sigma Alpha and Sigma Sigma Phi.
Dr. Dieckmann will complete postdoctorate training in family medicine at University of Kansas School of Medicine-Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences’ College of Osteopathic Medicine is a fully accredited, private university of medicine. Founded in 1916, it is the oldest medical school in Kansas City and the largest in Missouri.
