Community invited to 125th Anniversary worship service in the park PDF Print E-mail

The Lutheran churches in Perkins County are hosting a 125th Anniversary worship service in the Grant City Park on Sunday, July 22. There will be a pre-service hymn fest at 9:45 a.m. with the worship service to follow at 10 a.m.
The message will be delivered by Rev. Russell Sommerfeld, the Nebraska District LCMS president.
The three sponsoring churches are Trinity-Ogallala; St. Paul’s-Venango and Zion-Grant.
There will be a meal served after the service with a free will offering for the county food pantry. There will be supplemental matching dollars from Thrivent Financial.
The meal includes hamburgers, brats, hot dogs, salads, chips and desserts. The Youth Development Club will be providing their grill to assist with the grilling of the food.
The community is invited to attend the worship service thanking God for His blessings over the years, or to come for the meal afterward. In case of inclement weather, activities will be at the Zion Lutheran Church just south of the Grant City Park.
