Bull fest and cancer benefit team up PDF Print E-mail

Johnny Klein productions and the Cowpoke Bar are again sponsoring the Thedford Bull Fest at the Thomas Co. Fairgrounds east of Thedford on Friday, July 27. The Bull Fest begins at 6:30.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the gate and can be purchased at various businesses in town and surrounding area. Contact Tegwin Egle for more information on the Bull Fest.
This year for the first time, in conjunction with the Bull Fest, will be the ‘Sandhill Sea of Blue’. Those coming to the Bull Fest are encouraged to wear blue in support of Warren Haumann, who is battling multiple myeloma and the countless others who have benefitted from the Callahan Cancer Center in North Platte.
“Cancer affects every one of us, whether we are personally battling it or know of a family member or friend. Warren and his family were recipients at an earlier benefit, which was a huge success.
The donations collected during the Bull Fest will not only benefit Warren again, but more importantly, benefit the Callahan Cancer Center in North Platte where he and several of his friends have had or continue to receive treatments.
Bull Fest’s “Sandhill sea of blue” is  like rodeos that have nights where everyone wears pink in support of those battling breast cancer.
A family member of Warren’s made T-Shirts of blue for the first benefit. Everyone is encouraged to wear those T-Shirts or another blue shirt and fill the grandstands with a ‘Sea of Blue’.
