New school clothes for kids made possible with grant PDF Print E-mail

It was announced recently that the organization L2 For Kids was one of 13 other Nebraska organizations that was awarded grant money from the Knights of Ak-Sar-Ben Foundation’s 2012 Community Grant Fund. L2 was awarded a $1,000 grant that will help it reach its mission of helping low-income families in Perkins County buy new school clothes for their children.
The $1,000 grant was matched by local donations, bringing the grand total to be given for new school clothes to more than $2,200. Board members of the group celebrated the Ak-Sar-Ben grant during the Perkins County Fair.
Those present for the photo were Beth Carrig, Becky Uehling, Pat Potter, and Henry Potter. Other board members are Pastor Vince Carrig, Phil and Cindy Regier.
Those who would like to apply for the funds can do so by getting an application from any of the board members, at the New Life Fellowship Church in Grant, or by picking one up at the Grant Tribune-Sentinel.
