Native American to perform at Hershey Fall Festival PDF Print E-mail

Peter Lewis Whitebird, a Native American Chippewa from Topeka, Kan., will be in concert during the Hershey Fall Festival at the Hershey Baptist Church. He will be performing on Saturday Aug. 25–28. He is singer, song writer and an award-winning recording artist.
The family night program will be on Saturday, Aug. 25 beginning at 6 p.m. C.T. Also sharing his talent for Family Night will be David Knight, cowboy poet from Keystone.
He will also be in concert at the Hershey Baptist Church, on Sunday Aug. 26 at 10:45 a.m. CT and 6 p.m. CT, Monday Aug. 27 at 6:30 p.m. CT and finally on Tuesday Aug. 28 at 6:30 p.m. CT.
He has had 18 top three radio hits and 12 number one singles on National Christian Country charts. His parents divorced when he was young and both remarried twice.
He has fought alcohol addiction and dealt with his own divorce. He became an ordained minister in 1995 and in 1999 he and his wife, Judy began touring full-time with his music ministry. Peter has recorded five albums in Nashville, Tenn. and a sixth was a live concert that was recorded in California.
He has appeared as a guest on Pat Boone on TBN with Stephen Baldwin and Dean Jones. He has been recognized and won several awards for his talent as singer and songwriter. Peter spent nearly 30 years in construction work before turning to his music. He takes his music and message to churches, rodeos, prisons, drug and alcohol rehab programs, fairs, festivals and other special events across America each year.
He mixes his warm uplifting manner with his down home humorous country style. The antics of his Arkansas Hillbilly cousin character, Bubba Burks will make his audience laugh and make it truly a performance that everyone can enjoy!!
