Golf tourney raises funds for MRI PDF Print E-mail

Sixty-four golfers participated in the Perkins County Health Services Foundation golf tournament held at the Pheasant Run Golf Club Sunday afternoon, Aug.12. Participants consisted of 32 two-person teams with a scramble format.
Tournament helpers were Jayson Bishop, Val Foster, Shawn Stutzman, Ryan Richmond, Mary Dodson, Dan Wallin, Jody Snogren, and Bob and Brenda Kiolbasa. Just under $4,000 was raised to assist with the MRI Project.  
Flight winners were as follows:
Championship flight–First: Shawn Stutzman/Tobin Buchanan; second: Turk Engel/Calvin Dahlkoetter; third: Scott McGuire/Nowak.
First Flight–First: Ron Patrick/Gloria Patrick; second: John Long/Alan Haenfler; third: Seth Cockerill/Jason Noyes.
Second Flight–First: Don Hansen/Carey Perkins; second: Kirk York/Lisa York; third: Jim Toner/Greg Pollard.
Much of the financial success of the tourney was due to the generous hole sponsors and hole prize sponsors: Grant Pharmacy and U-Save Pharmacy (hole-in-one insurance), Cash-Wa Distributing, The Scoular Co., Doug and Shari Sexson, Keith Olsen, Ride Rite Garage, Regier Land Improvement, Countryside Insurance Agency, Sidney Roofing, Kemling Farms, Scoular Co. of Venango, Hi-Line Coop of Elsie, Frenchman Valley Coop of Grant, Valley Pro Irrigation, Dan and Charlottie Wallin, Farmers State Bank of Wallace, Bamford Inc. of Kearney, Allen’s Carpet and Furniture of Ogallala, In and Out, Inc, Reese Mechanical, First State Bank in Imperial, Heritage Insurance, Noyes Irrigation, Shawn Stutzman, Studio Designs and Farm Bureau Financial Services.
This year’s golfers were treated to grilled hamburgers from Gengenbach Cattle and cakes by Lori Day. Other food sponsors were Bob Cummings, Cutler Land and Cattle and Hatch’s Super Foods.
