Defendant enters not guilty plea in robbery PDF Print E-mail

One of two men who allegedly attempted to rob the Farmer’s State Bank in Wallace was arraigned in District Court in Lincoln County on Sept. 10.
Tracy Neal Black, 52, of Evanston, Wyo., entered a not guilty plea on a charge of attempted robbery. The defendant was originally charged with robbery.
Black and an accomplice, Drew A. Steier, were arrested north of Imperial on Highway 61 shortly after the attempted robbery on Monday, Aug. 13.
Black waited in the vehicle outside the bank while Steier entered with a handgun and demanded money. After being told by tellers that the money was in the vault, Steier left empty handed.
The two men were caught about an hour later.
Steier has a preliminary hearing set in Lincoln County Court Thursday (today) Sept. 20 at 1:30 p.m. CDT.
Black’s next appearance is Oct. 29. He is represented by attorney Robert Lindemeier who requested a bond reduction because the defendant did not actually go into the bank.
District Court Judge Donald Rowlands lowered bond from $250,000 to $125,000.
