Court dates ahead for defendants attempting to rob Wallace bank PDF Print E-mail

Drew A. Steier, 19, of Evanston, Wyo., was bound over to District Court after waiving his right to a preliminary hearing  on Sept. 20 while appearing in Lincoln County Court on the charge of attempted robbery.
The defendant appeared before Judge Kent Turnbull who granted a request to lower his bond to $125,000.
Steier was arrested Aug. 13, along with accomplice Tracy Neal Black, 52, of Evanston, Wyo. for alleged attempted robbery of the Farmer’s State Bank in Wallace.
Steier allegedly entered the bank with a handgun while Black waited in a vehicle outside. The robbery was unsuccessful and he left the bank empty handed.  
A District Court date for Steier is pending.
He is represented by attorney Pat Hays.
Black, represented by attorney Robert Lindemeier, will appear in District Court Oct. 29. His first appearance was for arraignment Sept. 10 where he entered a not guilty plea to a reduced charge of alleged attempted robbery.
Black’s bond was lowered from $250,000 to $125,000 by Judge Donald Rowlands and a new hearing date was set.
