North Platte arts center holding logo contest
The Creativity Unlimited Arts Council Board of Directors is inviting creative minds of all ages to create a logo for the Prairie Arts Center in North Platte, with a logo contest.
A $500 prize will be awarded to the winner of the contest, which runs Oct 1-Dec. 1.
Applications can be obtained from the website: www.prairieartscenter-ne.org.
Each artist may submit up to three designs. Entries must be emailed by midnight on Dec. 1, and must be a jpeg less than 5MB.
Entries will be judged for their simplicity, clarity, cleverness and timelessness. A maximum of two or three colors should be used, and the logo should be recognizable without the name “Prairie Arts Center.”
The Prairie Arts Center will be housed in the old 1913 Post Office building at 5th and Jeffers in downtown North Platte. It will include an art gallery as well as lots of space for art classes and meetings or gatherings of all sizes for North Platte and the surrounding area.
Currently, the arts council is in the fund raising phase, with construction beginning this fall.
