Fire prevention was being taught everywhere by community departments during Fire Prevention Week Oct. 7-13. Youngsters were educated on several aspects of what to expect, who to expect, and how to make it to safety in the event of a home fire. At Perkins County Elementary in Grant, volunteer firefighters put together a demonstration for kindergarten, first and second graders.
