Hearing set for defendant PDF Print E-mail

Wallace Bank robbery suspect, Drew A. Steier, 20, of Evanston, Wyo. is scheduled for a status hearing on Monday, Nov. 5 in District Court in Lincoln County following arraignment Oct. 15.
The status hearing was granted by Judge Donald Rowlands after  the defendant entered a not guilty plea for his alleged role in attempted robbery of the Farmers State Bank in Wallace on Aug. 13. Steier allegedly entered the bank with a handgun demanding money, but was told by tellers the money was locked up and he left the bank without any.
Steier was arrested along with Tracy Neal Black who allegedly waited outside the bank in a getaway vehicle. The two men were taken into custody on Highway 61 near Imperial.
Steier’s bond was lowered from $250,000 to $125,000. He remains in custody until the status hearing. He is represented by defense attorney Pat Hays. Prosecuting the case is Lincoln County Attorney Rebecca Harling.
