Trick or Treat Street

From gangsters to goblins, the Oct. 31 Trick-or-Treat Street in Grant had it all. The Chamber-sponsored event was once again well-attended. Engel “retires” from haunting City of Grant

The identity of Grant’s favorite spook has finally been revealed.
The costumed ghoul has haunted the streets of Grant annually for 13 years each Halloween.
The scary apparition would slowly trek from business to business, enter each building, pause for a few moments, then wordlessly exit, leaving employees and customers bewildered and just a bit unnerved.
In a farewell note, the prankster explained, “All these years I’ve put the fear in family and friends both near and dear!
Thirteen years has come and gone, now it’s time to call the pawn.
All my fun must come to an end, since next year, Lord willing, my “new life” will begin!”
The perpetrator of one of Grant’s most successful Halloween pranks, Lisa Engel, plans to move to Arizona.

Trunk-or-treaters in Elsie have successful evening

Skaters’ costumes judged

Westview in the Halloween spirit
