AVCA honors Hite as a DIII All-American PDF Print E-mail

Nebraska Wesleyan University junior volleyball player Mackenzie Hite of Grant has been named a 2012 AVCA Division III All-America honorable mention selection.  She becomes the eighth NWU volleyball player to earn AVCA All-America honors.
Hite led Nebraska Wesleyan with 541 digs this season and averaged 6.41 digs per set in matches against NCAA III opponents to rank fourth in the country in digs per set.  Hite started all 28 matches at libero for the Prairie Wolves and played in all 103 sets this season.
The Perkins County High School graduate was named AVCA All-Central Region recently, as well as being named the Association of Division III Independents (AD3I) Player-of-the-Year.  Hite was also named to the All-Tournament team at two different tournaments this season.   
Hite helped Nebraska Wesleyan to a 13-15 overall record in 2012 under first year head coach Rayna Cain.
