Downtown Grant was open to a foray of available Christmas gifts and goodies during Chamber’s annual holiday open house event last Thursday, Nov. 15. Stores were open late, vendors set up their wares in various locales, food samplings and giveaways enticed the crowd who enjoyed a beautiful evening of shopping. There was something for everyone—Santa held tots on his lap; barbershop singers entertained along the street; hot cider and caramel corn along with other foods and drink were available. The art gallery hosted a painted chair silent auction; the museum showcased decorated trees; the fire department held demonstrations and handed out goodies. Bargains and ideas, creativity and charm kicked off the spirit of the holiday season. (Right) Santa lends an ear as three-and-a-half year old Brayden Larsen intently shares his Christmas dreams.
