Jensen is November’s Senior of the Month
Lacey Jensen, a senior at Perkins County High School, is this month’s selected Senior of the Month.
She is the daughter of Darren and Shannon Jensen of Grant.
Throughout her high school career, Jensen has been a participant in many extracurricular activities, including FCCLA, FFA and Perkins County Youth Council.
She has been a cheerleader and a participant in track.
She feels that being able to perform and speak in front of an audience is a useful lifelong skill, and has put this belief into practice with her participation in chorus, one act plays, speech, musicals and spring plays.
Jensen has been a class officer and a member of National Honor Society and student council.
In the community, she has put in many volunteer hours landscaping, collecting for the food pantry, coaching youth basketball and helping at the Einstein Academy at the elementary school.
She was selected to attend RYLA camp as a sophomore, was a Girls Stater her junior year, and attended the Bryan LGH College of Health Services Health Career Camp her senior year.
Her work history includes job shadowing and a work study at Perkins County Health Services, and employment at the Perkins County Veterinary Hospital.
Following high school, Jensen plans to pursue a doctorate as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at BryanLGH College of Health Sciences in Lincoln.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Jensen’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and she will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
