Ross voted outstanding wrestler Saturday PDF Print E-mail

Scoring 58 points as a team with only four wrestlers in attendance, Perkins County finished eighth at the Gordon Rushville Invite on Saturday, Dec. 8.
Other participating teams and their scores were: Valentine 177.5, Chadron 150, Bennett County 83, Ainsworth 82, Mitchell 73, Gordon Rushville 72.5, Sidney 69.5, Hay Springs 47, Mullen 40, Ogallala 32, Pine Ridge 22, Little Wound 0 and Red Cloud 0.
Two Plainsmen returned with first place medals: Austin Thelander at 106 lbs. and Vinny Ross at 285 lbs. Vinny also had the honor of being voted outstanding wrestler by coaches in attendance.
Trey Johnson at 126 lbs., came away with the third place medal.
