Morningside sorority receives model chapter award
Danielle Dahlkoetter, daughter of Dennis and Cynthia Dahlkoetter of Grant, Neb., served as an officer for the Morningside College chapter of Psi Chi that recently received a national Model Chapter Award for the 2011-2012 academic year from the Psi Chi National Council in Chattanooga, Tenn.
Dahlkoetter is a 2009 graduate of Perkins County High School. Psi Chi is an international honor society in psychology for undergraduate and graduate students who are making the study of psychology one of their major interests and meet grade point average requirements and other qualifications.
Model Chapter Awards are presented annually to recognize and reward Psi Chi chapters that consistently maintain outstanding records of membership inductions, chapter correspondence, service projects and other criteria associated with being an outstanding chapter. The award comes with a $100 check.
Dr. Larry Sensenig, professor and chair of psychology, serves as the Morningside Psi Chi chapter’s faculty adviser.
Morningside College is a small, private college in Sioux City, Iowa, that offers students the opportunity to earn a bachelor’s degree in a variety of disciplines, or a master’s degree in education.
