White is December’s Senior of the Month
Colton White, a student at Perkins County High School, has been chosen as the Senior of the Month for December.
He is the son of Clint and Robin White of rural Grant.
With his participation in school and community activities, White has made a goal of setting a good example and becoming a well-rounded individual during his high school career at PCHS. His motivation to succeed is evident in his endeavors in and out of school.
He has been a participant in football, basketball and golf for four years.
He is a member of the band and chorus, and was selected to represent the school in all-state chorus, state chorus as well as received several musical awards in contests.
He has participated in fall musicals, is a member of National Honor Society, mock trial, speech and quiz bowl.
In the community, White has been a volunteer through the Perkins County Youth Council, the church and as a coach for youth basketball.
His work history includes mowing lawns, umpiring for the City of Grant and interning at Zeilinger Law Office.
Following graduation, White plans to apply to some Ivy League colleges, as well as the University of Nebraska-Kearney and Lincoln.
For being selected Senior of the Month, White’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and he will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
