Wallace High School to hold blood drive March 4 PDF Print E-mail

The Wallace Student Council and National Honors Society are coordinating with the Red Cross to host a blood drive on Monday, March 4, in the school’s old gym. The drive will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition to whole blood, Red Cross will have time to schedule five double-red appointments.
To schedule an appointment to donate either whole blood or double-reds, please call the school at 308-387-4323. Appointments are given priority, but walk-ins are also welcome.
The goal for this blood drive is to collect 38 whole blood and four double red units.
The Red Cross offers scholarship money to schools that host blood drives; the more units that are collected, the more scholarship money is offered.
The Red Cross allows and encourages students to donate; 16-year-olds will need a parent’s signed permission form. Students who are 17 years of age and older can donate whole blood or double reds independently.
For any questions about eligibility, please call the Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.
