Carlson selected March Senior of the Month
Elliot Carlson, March’s Senior of the Month, has made the most of his years at Perkins County High School with his participation in many sports and activities.
He was a participant in FFA, student council all four years.
He competed in football, basketball and track for four years.
He was a member of the concert, marching, jazz and pep bands.
Active as well in the drama department, he participated in several musicals and a one-act play and speech.
Outside of school, Carlson was involved in 4H, Perkins County Youth Council, youth group and Bible school. He reached the highest honor as a Boy Scout when he became an Eagle Scout.
He has been employed in his family’s business, Carlson Electric, for five years, as well as a lifeguard at the Grant City Pool.
After graduation, Carlson plans to attend Fort Hays State University in Fort Hays, Kan., major in business and play football.
Carlson is the son of Mike and Alyson Carlson of rural Grant.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Carlson’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and he will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
The Student of the Month and scholarship program are sponsored by Pinnacle Bank of Grant and members of the community.
