Cash prize winners add to success and entertainment of annual Midwest banquet PDF Print E-mail

Gorgeous weather, a large turnout and delicious meal contributed to another successful Midwest Electric banquet.
Three incumbents were reelected to serve District 1, District 5 and District 9 during the 66th annual event last Thursday evening at the high school in Grant.
Elected to continue serving their districts were Ron Ivers-District 1, Ron Hagan-District 5, and Rod Clough-District 9.
Two hundred and six represented Midwest’s membership, with 312 meals served by the Youth Development Club. Following a meal of hot roast beef sandwiches, baby new potatoes, corn and ice cream cups, cowboy poet and humorist Chuck Larsen entertained the crowd, door prizes and a $500 cash prize were awarded to lucky winners.
Some of the door prizes given away included a three-crock slow cooker,  32-inch LED TV, two-$100 cash prizes, two-$50 cash prizes, counter top oven, vac, dehydrator, Mr. Coffee pot, $75 Cabela’s gift card, jigsaw, cordless drill, food steamer, six-gallon wet/dry vac, just to name a few.     
Archie and Alene Silvrants, who have rural property served by Midwest were winners of a $500 cash prize.  
Officers who will serve Midwest are Dick Hasenauer-president, Ron Hagan-vice president, Rod Clough-secretary, Kent Kroeker-treasurer, and Shawn Turner-assistant treasurer.
