Students awarded for art projects PDF Print E-mail

 

 

Sixteen Perkins County High School students had art work receive awards at the Phillips County Student Art Show, March 21-24 in Holyoke, Colo.
Best of Show top honors Jessyca Briggs (senior)–Best of Show first place. Her watercolor study of the interior of an old garage was selected over works from students from Southwest Nebraska and Northeast Colorado.
Dalton McCormick (junior) received Best of Show second place for his digital photo of a jellyfish.
Courtney Lyon (junior) was awarded Best of Show third place for her pencil drawing of rocks.
Other Perkins County Students receiving awards were:
Seniors: Shania Metcalf–Digital Photography, first place; Rachel Patrick–Digital Photography, second place; Jessie Woodmancy–Digital Photography, third place; Michi Prante–Cut Paper Collage, first place.
Juniors: Capri Meyer–Colored Pencil, first place; Michelle Skeels–Wheel Thrown Pottery, honorable mention
Sophomores: Dayna Dudden–Tempera Painting, first place; Miles Steinwart–Graphite Drawing, second place; Maria Lopez–Stipple Drawing, Honorable Mention; Shane Ourada–Collage, honorable mention.
Freshmen: Josie Osler–Colored Pencil, first place; Coy Aerni–Pen and Ink/ W/C, second place;  Bailey Johnson–Stipple Drawing, third place.
Student work will be on display during Perkins County High School Spring Plays performances in April.
