Hazardous waste to be collected PDF Print E-mail

The annual 2013 household hazardous waste collection is set for Saturday, April 27.
Collection will take place at the Perkins County Fairgrounds in the southwest quadrant of Grant from 8-9 a.m.
Items accepted include:
• Cleaning products, lawn and garden chemicals, batteries, paint, used oil and other hazardous household items.
Please have materials in disposable containers no larger than five gallons or 50 pounds. Containers will not be returned.
• NO tires, appliances or items containing asbestos.
• Household Hazardous Waste program personnel reserve the right to reject any materials.
This is a free service provided by Red Willow Household Hazardous Waste Program.
Support of the program is provided by Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality Waste Reduction and Recycling, Red Willow Western Rural Fire Department HazMat Team and Southwest Nebraska RC&D.
