Wallace eighth graders recognized for excellence PDF Print E-mail

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln will recognize Nebraska eighth-graders for their academic excellence, leadership and perseverance at the 2013 Big Red Stars Recognition Ceremony on April 30.
Among those being honored are Antony Arvizo and Margaret May of Wallace.
Big Red Stars is a special recognition program designed to recognize outstanding eighth-grade students in Nebraska. These talented students were nominated by school principals as students who showcase strong leadership skills and academic promise.
The Big Red Stars nominees will be recognized at an award ceremony sponsored by UNL and EducationQuest from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Lied Center, 301 N. 12th St.
Highlights of the event include individual recognition and awards for the Big Red Stars nominees and special remarks from Gov. Dave Heineman.
