PF group hosting area CRP meeting
Pheasants Forever, local FSA and NRCS offices and Nebraska Game and Parks will be hosting a series of informational meetings about the upcoming General Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) sign-up.
This general CRP sign-up will begin May 20 and continues through June 14.
Whether landowners are interested in stopping erosion, maintaining habitat for wildlife or learning about financial assistance for conservation efforts they are encouraged to talk to any local Farm Bill Wildlife Biologist or attend one of these meetings. These meetings will provide information on ways to increase farm income through conservation programs.
Producers unable to attend one of these meetings or would like more information about the CRP sign-up can contact the Farm Service Agency (FSA) at the local USDA Service Center.
Here is the area meeting schedule:
Tuesday, May 14—Mid-Plains Community College extended campus, 1324 Broadway, Imperial, 7 p.m.
Wednesday, May 15—FSA Building, 1303 A Street, Benkelman, 7 p.m.
Thursday, May 16—Hastings Memorial Library, 246 Central Ave., Grant, 7 p.m.
A light meal will be provided at no charge at each of these meetings.
