Saturday afternoon marks the final gathering for seniors in the Class of 2013 as they prepare for the future outside the halls of WHS.
The ceremony will take place May 11 at 4:30 p.m. CT at the Wallace High School gym.
Thirteen seniors will take their place shoulder to shoulder during their final moments as a cohesive class.
They chose black, white and candy pink as class colors and white carnations tipped in black as the designated flower.
The motto for this year’s crop of seniors is, “If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, then they can sure make something out of us,” attributed to Muhammad Ali.
Class speakers include Valedictorian Virginia Phillips and Salutatorian Taylor Doell. The class song is “It’s My Life” by Bon Jovi. Other music selections include “Graduation” by Vitamin C and “Stamp on the Ground” by Italobrothers.
A senior video created by senior Taylor Doell will be shown.
A flower presentation to special recipients selected by the seniors will be accompanied by the song, “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womak.
Presenting diplomas will be the Wallace Board of Education.
Members of the class include: Jose Arvizo, Taylor Doell, Joshua Grauerholz, Anna Griffiths, Joshua Harms, Mark Jameson, Rachel Marquardt, Katelyn Melton, Taylor Nielson, Lane Pankonin, Virginia Phillips, Chelsea Sowle, Levi Unruh.
