PCHS to host graduation PDF Print E-mail

Saturday marks the end of school days in Perkins County for 26 seniors.
The Class of 2013 will march at 1 p.m. on May 11 in the gymnasium located at 740 Sherman in Grant.
“I am the master of my fate. I am the captain of my soul” is a motto the classmates have chosen for their final ceremonial event as a class.
Class colors are pink and orange.
Their flower is the gerbera daisy.
After members of the class enter to “Pomp and Circumstance,” senior Alex Malmkar will extend the welcoming address.
Senior speakers Elliot Carlson and Callie Meyer will deliver a short talk.
A slide show presentation will be followed by presentation of flowers to selected members of the audience by members of the class during the song, “Today My Life Begins” by Bruno Mars.
Another musical selection, “Hold Us Together,” will be delivered by seniors Alex Malmkar, Ty Summers, Colton White and Cole Whalen.
Presenting diplomas will be two Perkins County Board of Education members.
Graduating seniors include: Brendon Barry, Caleb Breazeale, Jessyca Briggs, Elliot Carlson, Dakota Culver, Mark Hanson, Quinton Hite, Jessi Hoffert, Matisyn Humphrey, Lacey Jensen, Trey Johnson, Alex Johnston, Alex Malmkar, Shania Metcalf, Callie Meyer, Rachel Patrick, Blake Poppe, Michi Prante, Vincent Ross, Jacob Sexson, Tyrone Summers, Patrick Teppert, Austin Thelander, Cole Whalen, Colton White, Jessie Woodmancy.
Closing comments will be given by Jessie Woodmancy and the 2013 graduating class of PCHS will exit the gym to “Hall of Fame” by The Script.
Seniors and their families will host celebratory receptions in several locations throughout the afternoon.
