Local artist’s work now on display at governor’s mansion PDF Print E-mail

Lance Wurst of Grant will be displaying about 18 of his watercolors in the conference room of the Governor’s Mansion from July 31 through Aug. 30.
Each year, the Nebraska Governor’s Residence Exhibition Program provides Nebraska artists from across the state solo exhibitions in the main conference room of the governor’s residence.
The NAC (Nebraska Arts Council) partners with the Nebraska governor’s residence to secure this prestigious venue for the display of original artworks made by Nebraska artists. This unique space allows civil servants, citizens and other visitors to the residence the opportunity to acknowledge and appreciate the diversity of statewide artistic talent.
The Nebraska Arts Council and Nebraska governor’s residence partner to present this exhibition series of Nebraska artists. Artists from across the state are selected for solo exhibitions each year. Artwork is on display in the lower level conference room of the residence.
The Nebraska governor’s residence is open for guided public tours on Thursdays from 1–4 pm. Contact the residence manager at 402-471-3466 to arrange for a tour that includes the opportunity to view this exhibition.
