Gaston is assistant curator
Brian Gaston of Lafayette, Ind., completed his MS in biological sciences at Fort Hays State University in Kansas. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in fisheries and wildlife from the Univerity of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Brian’s background in research includes work under Dr. L. David Mech that involved the capture, collaring and tracking of wolf populations in Minnesota. He also led a study on free-roaming domestic cat populations and assisted with estimating raptor populations in Lincoln.
As assistant curator of Wolf Park in Battle Ground, Ind., Gaston looks forward to building relationships with the wolves and educating the public on the role that wolves and other animals play in ecosystems.
He is the son of Rod and Pam Gaston of McCook and grandson of Lois and the late Al Gaston of Grant.
