A bright future is ahead for the September Student of the Month, Brady Mailand, senior at Perkins County High School.
Always striving to achieve academically and in extracurricular activities, Brady has had a busy schedule throughout his high school years.
He has participated in speech, mock trial, science club, FFA, National Honor Society, Quiz Bowl and student council.
He has also been included on the basketball, cross country and football teams.
He has been a participant in band and drama, as well as student council.
Academically, Brady has been included on the all A honor roll all quarters since his freshman year, has participated in scholastics and has received numerous awards.
Busy in the community, Brady has been active in Zion Lutheran youth group, the blood drive, community Thanksgiving dinner, FFA, student council and 4-H activities, to name a few.
Additionally, Brady has been employed on the family farm, doing general farm work, repair and maintenance.
After graduating, Brady plans to attend a four-year university and earn an undergraduate degree in aeronautics or mechanical engineering. He would like to apply his love of computers with a career in aeronautics systems.
Brady is the son of Steve and Kathy Mailand of rural Grant.
For being selected Senior of the Month, Brady’s picture will hang in the lobby of Pinnacle Bank in Grant and he will be eligible for a scholarship awarded at the end of the school year.
