Youth have opportunity to fly this Saturday PDF Print E-mail

The Experimental Aircraft Association will be offering Young Eagle Flights to area youth ages 8-17 Saturday, Sept. 28 as part of the Grant Airport open house activities according to Leon Kumor of the local EAA Chapter 562.
The flights will be held from 8-10 a.m. and are free to participating youth. They will receive a certificate and will be entered into the world’s largest logbook at Airventure Oshkosh, Wis.
Parental permission is required.
“EAAers have flown more than 1.7 million youngsters since 1992, and our Young Eagles program continues to be the most effective way to introduce the next generation to the freedom and joy of personal flying,” said Kumor.
EAA Chapter 562 has flown over 2000 youth since the program’s inception in 1992.
