Tim and Kimberly Bishop were the proud new owners of 310 Central American Grill. They moved back to Tim’s roots to open the business formerly known as Bench Warmers along main street.

Technology in Perkins County was elevated to a new level with the capability to notify emergency personnel within seconds where to respond to. After 3 1/2 years the Enhanced-911 system was installed and in operation. County maps with the new road numbers would become available.

After months of waiting, a new transfer ambulance arrived and began operation. The expenses of operating the ambulance were to be less than in the past. Because of its size, weight, and aerodynamic design, the ambulance was expected to get 15 and 21 mpg. The goal of the ambulance was to be self-supporting in the operation of transfers.

The Grant Area Jaycees had a very busy day at their first gun shoot. Forty-one shoots were held during the course of the afternoon and shooting didn’t stop until the shooters were unable to see their targets because of approaching darkness.

A survey of 300,000 families representing an accurate cross section of this country’s population reveals that almost one-third of all families and single individuals in the country had an income of less than $750 during the year 1935-36. More than 69 percent received less than $1500. Only two percent had incomes over $5000, and less than one percent had incomes of $10,000 and over.
