Turkey shuffleboard PDF Print E-mail

The Perkins County High School National Honor Society chapter held a very special event on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 21-22, during the first and second lunch periods at the high school. Frozen turkey shuffleboard games were played with participation being $1 or one non-perishable food item. All collected food items were donated to the county food pantry.  A total of $90.50 and two bags of food were collected from the event. Money raised will be used to help families in need with Thanksgiving food purchases. Top: Several different techniques were used for shuffleboard. Tyler Sando (above, right) tried using his feet, while Kiffen Cook used a more traditional method of sliding the bird across the floor by the handles. Kaleb Gaar supervises the two participants.
