December has arrived and so has the 2013-14 basketball season.  The Wallace Wildcats are looking to build on last years 14-9 season.
Even though they graduated three starters off of last years team, Coach Joe Hesse feels good about the mix of experience he has with the younger athletes on the team.
Wallace has six returning letter winners that will be major contributors this season.
The retuning letter men include sophomores Tanner Clough and Collin Swedberg and seniors Shane Anders, John Marquardt, Landon Swedberg and Hayden Woodcox.
Anders has been the sixth man the past two years and he is expected to play a big part down low.  Marquardt is a third year starting guard and Swedberg a four year starter and they too, are expected to add to the dynamics of the team.
Coach Hesse is also looking for underclassmen Dillon Koop, Jeff Harms and Andrew Gardner to be an important part of a successful Wildcat season.
Wallace will open their season Dec. 5 at Wauneta/Palisade and then have a home game against Maywood on Dec. 6.
