Wallace Lady Wildcats tangle with Maxwell, fall short of win PDF Print E-mail

On Friday, Dec. 13, the Maxwell Tigers traveled to Wallace to deliver the ladies another close loss.
The Lady Wildcats struggled in this match-up, turning the ball over 29 times throughout the game and shooting only twenty percent from the field.         The final score showed Maxwell victorious over Wallace, 50-41.
Wallace trailed through the first quarter, 7-14, but tied up the score at 20 before entering the locker room for halftime. During the third quarter the Lady Wildcats were outscored, bringing them into the fourth quarter with a five point deficit.
Junior Christina Daniels let the Wildcats offensively with 25 points, Sara Hubbard added 7 points, Alex Lundvall-6, Hayley Storm-2 and Morgan Messersmith-1. Lundvall aided in the offensive effort with 4 assists, while Messersmith had 2 and Daniels earned 1.             On the boards, Daniels pulled down 4 offensive rebounds, Messersmith-3, Lundvall-2, Storm-2; Mickayla Sheets, Hubbard, Maggie May, and Paige Aylward tallied up one rebound each.
Defensively, Daniels grabbed 8 rebounds, while Hubbard added 4; Aylward, Lundvall, and May had 2 defensive rebounds each.
Hubbard aided in the defensive effort by completing 4 steals.
