Perkins County wrestlers took part in the Chase County Invite on Saturday, Jan. 18, finishing 13th with 30 points as a team.
Scoring 217 points, Sedgwick County took first place. Following with 167.5 points was Gordon-Rushville and in third was Cambridge with 122 points.
Other teams were Sidney 107.5; Bridgeport 100; Dundy County-Stratton 99; Bayard 93.5; Ogallala 92; Hershey 50; Garden County 47; Chase County 45; Hitchcock County 38; Minatare 24 and Wauneta-Palisade 14.
Perkins County had two individual placers, senior 138 lb. Garrett Toner, back from an injury that kept him off the mat last week. Toner took a third place medal home.
Taking sixth place in the 220 lb. bracket was Brandon Holtz.
