“Exceeding Expectations” is FCCLA Week theme PDF Print E-mail

The Perkins County High School Chapter of the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is celebrating National FCCLA Week from Feb. 9-15. The theme for this year is “Exceeding Expectations.” Throughout the week FCCLA will recognize members, fundraise and raise awareness for FCCLA projects.
Members have activities planned to involve the students at Perkins County High during the lunch periods on Wednesday and Thursday. A cake give away fundraiser was held at the Cozad basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), is a dynamic national student organization that helps young men and women become leaders and addresses important personal, family, work, and societal issues through Family and Consumer Sciences education.
FCCLA has over 200,000 members and over 5,500 chapters from 49 state associations, Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. The organization has involved more than 10 million youth since its founding in 1945.
FCCLA: The Ultimate Leadership Experience is unique among youth organizations because its programs are planned and run by members. It is the only career and technical in-school student organization with the family as its central focus. Participation in national programs and chapter activities helps members become strong leaders in their families, careers, and communities.
