Wallace was one of 14 RPAC teams at the conference track meet held in Bertrand on Friday, May 2.
Teams in the conference include:  Alma, Arapahoe, Bertrand, Cambridge, Dundy County Stratton, Hayes Center, Hitchcock County, Maywood, Medicine Valley, Paxton, Southern Valley, Southwest, Wallace, and Wauneta-Palisade.
The meet was timed automatically, so in the results the times are listed to the hundredth of a second.
Team championships went to Bertrand for the girls and Cambridge for the boys.  The Wallace boys set the goal of finishing in the top five teams, so they were pleased with their fifth place finish.
Highlights of the day for the Wildcats included 16 athletes setting season best marks, and two gold medal finishes in the boys 4x800 and boys discus.  In addition, all four of the Wildcat relays improved their times on the season. The Wildcats also placed all three in the discus with Josh May first, Landon Swedberg second and Shane Anders fourth.
The Wildcats will send athletes that qualify to the Best of the Midwest meet in Sutherland on Tuesday, May 6 and then the whole team will compete at the Dundy County Stratton Twilight in Benkelman on Friday, May 9.
