The 23rd Annual Sertoma All-Star Volleyball Classic gets underway at 7 p.m. Saturday, June 7 when 28 of southwest Nebraska’s recently graduated volleyball stars meet at the McCook Community College Events Center.
Lisa Mason of Bertrand and Katie Wenz of Arapahoe will coach the East Team. Kylee Forch of Hitchcock County and Stephanie Williams of Dundy-County Stratton will coach the West Team.
Each team will get four practices during the week with the key to success being how quickly and effectively they can become a team.
Selected for the West Team are Courtney McClenahan of Perkins County; and Sara Hubbard and Alexandria Lundvall of Wallace.
Also on the West Team are Shelby Jaeger and Kristen Jussel of Chase County; Angela Crouse of Dundy County-Stratton; Maegan Hiatt of Hershey; Madalynn Doughty and Allison Sawyer of North Platte; Taylor Holzfaster and Bailee Schow of Paxton; Kelsey Dillenburg and Jalyne Schuster of Sutherland; and Tailor Lee of Wauneta-Palisade.
Proceeds from this event are used by the McCook Area Sertoma Club to help with speech and hearing sponsorships, specifically at this time for the hearing loop system that was installed in the McCook Community College Event Center.
