Grab your bathing suits and get ready for some summer fun as the Grant Municipal Pool is opening Monday, May 26.
According to manager Brittany Pofahl, in her eighth year as manager, the lifeguards have been busy training and preparing for the summer.
This year’s crop of lifeguards include Jessie Woodmancy, Rachel Patrick, Bailey Schrotberger, Stephanie Schrotberger, Samantha Snogren, Kylie Hanson, Timothy Johnson, Caden Piquet and Gini Phillips.
The pool hours will be Monday through Thursday, 1-5:30 p.m. with lap time from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and open swimming again from 6:30-8 p.m.
Every Friday the pool will be open from 1-5:30 p.m. with lap swimming from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday the pool will be open from 1-6 p.m.
Prices will remain the same this year with a season pass for a family being $75; student K-12, $35; adult, $40 and senior citizens (60 and over) $35. Passes can be picked up at the city office or at the pool during operating hours.
Daily fees will be $4 for adults, $3 for students and $3 for senior citizens.
Public swimming lessons will be June 23-27.
Pool parties will be $30 plus guard fees and the parties can be booked by contacting the pool during working hours.
Water aerobics will be held Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:30-6:30 p.m. and those having a season pass will gain free entry.
