Following months & months of preparation for the 2014 Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska, organizers are putting the finishing touches on this premier event to be held in the Panhandle of Nebraska June 6-7. With only weeks until the opening ceremonies for this year’s ball, tickets are selling quickly and people are encouraged to go online or call to purchase tickets before they sell out. This year’s theme is “Corral A Cure for Cancer.”
Co-chair Jeff Heldt stresses that, “You don’t need to be involved in agriculture to attend the event.”
Cattlemen’s Ball of Nebraska is the name of the event, but people from all walks of life are invited and encouraged to attend and help us raise money for this incredible cause–cancer research. Our lives have all been touched by this disease and together, we can make a difference,” Heldt adds.
Highlighting the event will be a concert on Saturday night featuring the award winning country music duo, Montgomery Gentry. Throughout the two-day event, there will be live and silent auctions, a golf tournament, style show, truck raffle, an art show with wine tasting, beef education displays as well as a dance each evening.
A Top Hand ticket is $75 and includes all events after 11 a.m. on Saturday, the evening meal and the Montgomery Gentry Concert, along with the dance following the concert (does not include the Trail Boss luncheon). A Trail Boss ticket is $350 and will gain admission to the events on both days; which include the Friday evening meal, a champagne brunch, the Trail Boss luncheon, the evening meal on Saturday, preferred seating at the concert, along with the dance that follows.
Volunteers are still needed in many areas and there are volunteer positions available prior to and following the event that will not require you to purchase a ticket.
