Edward Wesley "Bus" Pueppka - April 02, 2010

Edward Wesley ‘Bus’ Pueppka of McPherson County, Neb. passed away Friday, April 2, 2010, at his home. He had reached the age of 94.
He was born July 20, 1915 in Sutherland, Neb. to Clarence and Bertha Humphrey-Pueppka. He worked for Lou Cogger in the early years, then Bill O’Connor and various ranches throughout the area.
On July 2, 1941, he married Dorothy Cullinan in Chappell, Neb. The couple later bought the N Diamond Ranch in 1948 and have resided there since. Bus loved his family, horses, cows, and mowing hay. He also enjoyed using his John Deere tractors.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy of Sutherland; three daughters, Glee and husband Bob Uehling of Grant, Neb., Sally Hilferty of North Platte, Neb. and Patsy and husband Kenny Wykert of Grant; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Darlene and Helen; and a brother, Lloyd.
Funeral services were held April 5, 2010 at Adams & Swanson Funeral Home in North Platte with John Long officiating.
Burial was in the Paxton Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the McPherson County Fire and Rescue .
Adams & Swanson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
