Frances Forney - July 03, 2010

Frances Forney was born on April 12, 1930 at Scottsbluff, Neb. She was the youngest of 11 children born to Alfred and Lucy Sterner Peek. The family lived in Central City, Neb. when Frances was an infant. They later moved to Tecumseh, Neb. where she attended school through the eighth grade.
Frances was married to Art Forney on March 17, 1947 at Broadus, Mont. Five sons were born to this union. The family lived in several places, but spent the majority of their time in Rawlins, Wyo. where Art worked for the city and Frances worked as a waitress and a cook. They moved to Madrid, Neb. in 1983 after their retirement.
Frances had been in failing health and had been admitted to Golden Ours Convalescent Home in Grant where she died on Saturday evening, July 3, 2010. She had reached the age of 80.
Frances is survived by her husband of 63 years, Art; five sons, Douglas and wife Susan of Rupert, Idaho, Edward and James, both of Madrid, Charles of Rawlins and Roger and wife Terry of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Dickerson of Piedmont, Mo; other relatives and friends.
A memorial services will be held July 8 at 11 a.m. at the Madrid United Methodist Church with Pastor Linda Battello officiating. Frances’ cremains will be scattered in Wyoming at a later date.
Bullock-Long Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
